Sinosteel Midwest Corporation proposes to develop a 15Mtpa iron ore mine at Weld Range 65km southwest of Meekatharra, producing a mix of hematite lump and fines.
Asia Iron has primary environmental approval to produce up to 10Mtpa of magnetite concentrate, which will be transported by slurry pipeline to the port of Geraldton for export.
